The successful candidate should posses:
- College Diploma and knowledgeable of administrative processes.
- A working knowledge of Municipal By-laws, Policies and Standards, Planning Act, Ontario Building Code Act, Provincial Policy Statement, Official Plan, Zoning By-laws, Records Management.
- 2 years of experience in the BUILDING AND/or planning field, in a municipal, legal or private sector development setting or in a position of similar responsibility.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and proven skills in word processing, spreadsheet, communications and presentations software packages, including demonstrated knowledge of website maintenance.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent business writing and minute taking skills.
- Ability to deal with employees and public with tact and discretion.
- Excellent customer service orientation and skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
The salary range for this position is $30.12 - $37.65 per hour based upon a 35-hour work week. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and includes a comprehensive benefits and pension plan.
