Truro Chiropractic is looking for an office and administrative assistant. Do you feel rewarded when you are helping others? We are looking for someone who is naturally outgoing; with great people skills and who loves making people feel welcomed.

Experience in office administration is an asset, and the ability to multi-task and take direction is a must, as is the ability to understand patients and co-workers alike.

Familiarity with a variety of computer programs such as the health insurance portals, Microsoft office applications, and an ability to learn our office system (The Better System) quickly is a huge asset. Strong numeracy skills are also a requirement to balance billings and payments.

A love of health and wellness plus knowledge of the different disciplines in our clinic will be given preference, but is not necessary as it will deepen with time.

General duties include:

• Answering the phone kindly
• Checking voicemail and emails to schedule patients
• Collecting payments via insurance claims, debit/credit/ cash
• Reconciliation of accounts receivable on a daily and weekly basis
• Weekly/Bi-weekly bank deposits
• Compile payroll and month end reports, working with outside bookkeeper to ensure reconciliation is correct
• Assisting with Laser therapy treatments once trained
• Minor housekeeping duties such as taking garbage to curb weekly, watering plants, etc.

Expected start date: immediately

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: starting $36,400.00- $38,480.00 per year
