Church Office Secretary

St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Welland, is seeking a part-time secretary.

This position requires excellent computer knowledge, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and strict confidentiality.

Typical duties include office reception (phone, email and in-person), record-keeping, composing and distributing newsletters, weekly preparation for Sunday Worship Service (bulletin, volunteers’ schedule for Service roles etc), assisting the minister with correspondence and documents as needed, liaison with church council and committees, ordering supplies, and other tasks to be detailed during the interview process.

The job requires approximately 10 hours per week, and remuneration is $17 an hour. Training will be provided.
