What is the opportunity?
You will be a Client Clearing Operations Analyst
What will you do?
- Resolving all trade or delivery issues with relevant teams while performing root cause analysis to drive down breaks. Owning all commission/fee issues, liaising with the client and Front Office as required.
- Ensure all relevant checklists are updated after completing daily tasks and to adhere to RBC processes and procedures.
- Owning all client technology requests (tactical and strategic), in particular for XTP deliverables, liaising with solutions and technology teams as required. Perform vendor directed UAT for mandatory software or hardware upgrades, development or technical changes that will enhance the client experience.
- Performing in conjunction with the Front Office (as and when required) client forums, calls, meetings and performing education sessions with the client in relation to RBC BAU and industry developments.
- To manage and coordinate the margin process, to include (but notwithstanding), communicating and agreeing the call with the client, explaining clearly how the call is calculated and adhering to RBC’s Funds Transfer Policy.
- Responsible for day-to-day external relationship with clients, exchanges and CCP’s. Participates in the relevant industry forums to seek out industry trends to ensure best in class solutions.
- Owning Front Office MIS, ensuring revenue is correctly attributed and resolving trade flow issues to ensure STP
- Utilising RBC technology tools to create views for clarity and provide a framework for an optimal client experience for both our Clearing and Execution Only businesses
- Facilitating all aspects of operational client onboarding covering documentation, clearing technology, static and vendor reconciliation/allocation tools.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- In-depth knowledge of one or more disciplines: Clearing, Reconciliations, Control, Regulatory Reporting, and Operational Risk Management
- In-depth knowledge of major Exchange and FMI systems
- In-depth knowledge of CCP BAU practices, ad hoc events and associated rules and deadlines
- In-depth knowledge of one or more regulatory regimes, including CASS, Transaction Reporting, MiFID II, EMIR
- Educated to A level standard
Nice-to-have
- An understanding of the workings of Financial markets, associated operational flows and risks gained from a recognised market participant
- Past or current knowledge of one or more disciplines: Clearing, Reconciliations, Control, Regulatory Reporting, Client On-Boarding, KYC
- Recognised Industry qualifications: CISI, Eurex Clearing Qualified Clearing Staff (QBO)
