Adecco is currently recruiting for a Communications and Marketing Manager. This is a 12 -month Onsite contract opportunity with a possibility of extension. This role is with our government client in downtown Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must hold a Secret Security Clearance
The Communications and Marketing Manager will have the following responsibilities:
Participates in developing the strategic plans of the organization.
Leads the development of strategic direction for marketing and communications
Develops and ensures execution of marketing strategies
Provides leadership in the development, creation and execution of annual marketing plans and advertising campaigns
Leads the development of strategic direction
Elaborates, manages and controls the marketing and communications budget
Develop business development strategies
Provides expert advice and guidance to the Faculty’s senior leadership
Provides expertise and leadership
Analyzes problems, monitors competitive intelligence and internal and external trends
The Communications and Marketing Manager must meet the following mandatory requirements:
Bachelor degree in marketing (or equivalent) and an MBA (or equivalent Master’s degree) required (or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience)
A minimum of 10 years of leadership and management experience in marketing and communications
Extensive experience in the development and implementation of strategic Communications and Marketing plans, including media relations, web/online strategies, advertising and events management.
Experience in Human Resources management, team management, conflict resolution, negotiation and project management
Seasoned individual with demonstrated ability in problem solving, priority setting and meeting deadlines
Proven abilities in building partnerships and/or collaborative working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure, adapt easily and rapidly and use excellent judgment and discretion
Commitment to achieving the highest quality results and excellence in customer service
Have demonstrated initiative, autonomy and excellent leadership skills to foster commitment and co-operation within the team
Experience in public speaking and public relations
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (written and verbal) in English and French
