Construction Foreman
Role Objective:
The Construction Foreman assists the Superintendent in organizing the overall construction of a particular project including all resources such as: financial, manpower, materials, equipment and time. Remote work location (3+hours from Revelstoke) with lodging and food provided.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 2 year Construction Supervisory related experience
- Minimum 5 years Construction work experience
- Or; an equivalent combination of education and experience
Professional Designations, Certifications & Licenses:
- Valid BC driver’s license (Class 5)
The following would be considered assets:
- First Aid Certification – Level 3
- Gold seal training courses (Canadian Construction Association)
- Ticketed Journeyman Carpenter
- Excavator / Bobcat / Zoom Boom / Fork Lift / Heavy Equipment Operator Certifications or experience
- Fall Arrest Certification
- Traffic Control Certification
- Confined Space Entry Certification
- CSO ( Construction Safety Officer) Training
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
This incumbent performs a wide range of duties, assisting the Superintendent, including some or all of the following:
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, consultant field reviews etc.
- Provide continuity of work, delegate, and organize Trade Contractors to meet project milestones;
- Delegate tasks and mentor employees under supervision;
- Ensure Factions safety policy is being adhered to by all workers on site;
- Maintain the employee work schedule and process time sheets;
- Perform carpentry duties as required;
- Handle employee relations and be the first point of contact for worker communications;
- Procure and arrange for materials to be at the construction site in a timely fashion;
- Communicate project progress to the Superintendent and assist with solving day-to-day problems as required;
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; i.e.: reading professional publications, taking courses, etc.;
- Other duties, as assigned.

Working Conditions:
- Faction Projects Inc. is a vertically integrated, multi-disciplinary real estate development company with design and construction subsidiaries;
- Remote work location with lodging and food provided
- A Construction Foreman usually works a non-standard work week and may be required to work overtime to meet deadlines and to respond to delays and emergencies which can often require long work hours;
- A Construction Foreman requires keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to following the safety policies on the jobsite;
- Construction Foremen have physically demanding roles which involve exposure to all elements of outdoor work, in all seasons.
Position Term: This position is full-time for the duration of this project. Project is anticipated to complete by November 2024. Long term opportunities are available for the right candidate!

Salary: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
