A bit about the role…

Do you obsess about the voice of a brand and refining marketing content? Can you understand and write about technology without sounding like you are speaking in tongues? Are you an expert at writing content that generates leads and converts to sales?

As a Content Writer, your expertise will be key in crafting compelling content that aligns with Solink's brand values and marketing goals. You will focus on producing content optimized for lead generation, applying your knowledge of SEO and content marketing strategies.

As Solink’s Content Writer, you will write compelling prose, adding editorial color while building the Solink brand. You are an energetic and highly organized individual. You thrive working in a fast-paced environment and excel at multitasking. You understand that content conversions can be measured and you are passionate about improving KPIs.

Can you make targeted audiences smile and nod in agreement as they interact with Solink marketing content? Can you create tight, memorable marketing content that converts with minimal review cycles? If so, you may have what it takes to become Solink’s Content Writer.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• University or College degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years experience creating content that converts in high tech.
• Security industry experience or experience in a SAAS company is preferred.
• Business-to-business experience preferred.
• You will be required to share examples of your writing portfolio as part of the interview process.
• You are laser focused and have a track record of creating content that generates leads that convert to sales.
• You understand how to write SEO optimized content.
• You have worked and know WordPress well to be comfortable editing and publishing new articles by yourself.
• You have experience with SEO Software (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.), Google Suite (Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Google Search Console, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Strong organization skills to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and deadlines.
• Sense of urgency as timely execution is critical.
• You have a customer service mindset and operate with the highest level of integrity.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;
• Be a Canadian Citizen (dual citizens included), or eligible to work in Canada;
• Be willing to comply with Solink’s own security policies and standards.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Develop customer-focused and lead-generating content, SEO-driven web content, case studies, reports, white papers, eBooks, thought leadership etc.).
• Maintain a thorough understanding of Solink’s technology, value propositions, customer issues, competitive messaging and industry trends.
• Ensure consistent tone, voice, and messaging style to drive brand compliance.
• Publish articles on a regular basis
• Create and execute on our off-pages SEO and backlinking strategy which will have a direct impact on leads for our sales teams. You will own the outreach, crafting emails and being relentless on increasing our backlinks’ volume and quality.
• Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to align content with overall business goals and messaging.
• Step up as a team member and deliver when urgent deadlines arise.
• Monitor and report on content performance metrics, optimizing strategies for better lead generation and conversion.
