Cook/Housekeeper

The McMaster Children's Centre is a not-for-profit childcare centre located in the heart of McMaster University Campus. We are currently looking for a Cook/Housekeeper to join our team. This dual role primarily involves planning and preparing meals with our kitchen staff, but also includes occasional support of daily classroom housekeeping tasks (e.g. restocking supplies, laundry, organization).

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the restaurant or food service industry is a plus
• Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and safety practices
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks for extended periods of time
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Safe Food Handlers Certification
• Vulnerable Sector Check
• TB, MMR, and Tetanus immunizations

Salary: $16.55-$22.95 per hour
