Job Description

As a Corporate Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of the company by ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and preparing financial statements. This role focused on corporate level entity reporting including hotel management and spa management companies.

Key Focuses

• Financial Reporting:
  • Maintain and update multi-currency financial records, including general ledger accounts, financial statements and other financial reports relating to the Company’s various corporate entities.
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure their accuracy.
  • Monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Record and reconcile intercompany transactions between different entities.
  • Coordinate with colleagues to resolve any discrepancies in financial transactions.
  • Assist in the payment, forecasting and reconciliation of corporate tax accounts.
  • Utilize accounting software and technology to streamline financial processes and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of the annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgeted results.
• Cash Management:
  • Monitor the company’s cash flow to ensure liquidity and sufficient use of resources.
  • Implement effective cash management practices.
• Compliance and Audit:
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all finance-related activities.
  • Assist in the coordination and preparation for external audits.
• Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and payroll to gather relevant financial information.

Experience/Passions/Education

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years experience in a similar field
• Proficiency in financial software applications and open to new learning.
• Experience with multi-currency financial applications an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data, perform financial analysis, and provide solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Working Conditions

This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines. This detail-oriented and analytical position is set in a fast-paced environment with high levels of interaction with employees. This position is Monday to Friday, with a hybrid working model for additional flexibility.
