The full-time Landscape Construction Crew Leader will be responsible for a 3 to 5 person crew, while managing product, schedule and clients in a professional manner. This position requires the performance of all tasks associated with landscape construction. Effective leadership, high level of attention to detail, supervision, and good communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule, coordinate and supervise the day to day of a crew of 3 to 5 employees
- Discuss daily plan with crew and delegate tasks with crew members on site
- Follow/enforce company and health and safety policies
- Manage subcontractors and material deliveries to ensure deadlines are met
- The ability to operate heavy equipment and a variety of other handheld powered equipment
- The ability to interpret landscape plans and technical drawings
- Complete administrative tasks and crew member training as required
- As a working crew leader, you are required and expected to perform manual labour
- Interact with contractors and clients alike with professionalism and a polite, courteous manner
- Lead by example; demonstrate role model behaviour, ethics and integrity both on site and at the shop/yard
- Participate in company meetings, team building and be an active member in positive company culture
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years as a Crew Leader in the landscape construction industry
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent (College or University is an asset)
- G license with clean drivers abstract (AZ or A restricted license an asset)
