As part of our Shared Services group, comprised of Finance, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Commercial, Legal and Facilities, we support the business achieve their goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure delivery of services through the skills of our people, methodologies, and systems.
The HR Data Analyst is a key member of the Global HRIS team. This role collaborates with business, HR, and HRIS colleagues from around the world (primarily in Canada, USA, Chile, Brazil, South Africa, India, and Australia) to provide HR reporting and people analytics insights.
Responsibilities:
You will collaborate with a global cross-functional team to collect, clean, and analyze our people data, to glean insights, and to communicate those insights – via reports, graphs, dashboards, presentations – to inform business decisions. This will include:
-Eliciting, prioritizing, and documenting HR reporting and People Analytics needs.
-Translating HR reporting needs into functional/system requirements.
-Partnering with IT to automate the process of extracting, cleaning, transforming, and organizing our people data from primary sources (e.g. SuccessFactors, SAP S/4HANA, spreadsheets) into a datalake.
-Supporting new data collection efforts, as needed.
-Testing/verifying HR reporting systems’ outputs to ensure accuracy.
-Auditing/analyzing HR data to ensure data integrity (data accuracy and completeness). Resolve HR data integrity issues in collaboration with HR business partners.
-Preparing dashboards in PowerBI, reports from SuccessFactors, and presentations in PowerPoint for business reviews and ad hoc decision-making support.
-Interpreting HR data and trends to infer insights and create actionable recommendations. Communicating those insights effectively, to inspire action.
-Performing statistical analysis to identify trends in datasets.
-Providing day-to-day (operational) HR reporting support: coach/train report consumers; resolve reporting issues and questions.
-Developing and maintaining system documentation, user manual(s) and training materials.
Qualifications:
-Undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science (or similar).
-Experience working with PowerBI (or similar: Tableau, Looker, etc.).
-Experience working with SAP HCM and SuccessFactors (or similar HR systems).
-Fluency with Python and/or R, and SQL.
-Proficiency working with data in MS Excel (via pivot tables, vlookup, xlookup, concatenate, etc.).
-Affinity for data visualization techniques and technology.
-General knowledge of Human Resources practices and body of knowledge.
-Familiarity with Professional Services and/or Engineering Consulting industries.
