Data Entry Clerk

We are a full-service supplier of fertilizer, pest management products, including biologicals and bees, seeds and other consumable goods to the greenhouse, nursery and specialty horticulture industries in Canada and the USA.

What you'll do

• Process all incoming samples (water, soil, plant and swabs) into an excel file to be shipped to its respective lab
• Process and distribute all incoming results and or inquiries via email
• Create invoices to bill customers
• File all invoices, results and excel pages
• Create and receive necessary purchase orders relevant to water samples
• Manage all necessary stock needed for day-to-day operations (labels, boxes, tape, bottles and swabs)
• Handle customer issues
• Use of various courier software to create shipment labels for domestic and international shipments
• Follow-up with all appropriate labs and contacts regarding pending sample results
• Track and give status updates on all shipments of samples to labs
• Reconcile all sample testing inventory
• Work in accordance with the company Mission Statement, Employee Handbook and Procedure Manual
• Maintain a strict code of confidentiality concerning Plant Products business activities and all related affairs including but not limited to knowledge specific to Plant Products customers and their businesses
• Keep a tidy and clean work area
• Act at times, as a back-up to our customer service team in all its capacities
• Other duties as assigned

Who you are

• Intermediate level experience using Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Previous experience creating invoices, filing and account reconciliation
• Pay attention to the details
• Able to communicate effectively
• Work well in both a team setting and autonomously

What you’ve done

• Previous customer service experience is nice to have but not required
