Delivery Driver

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations. This is a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to our customers.

Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate company vehicles to deliver goods to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Plan delivery routes to optimize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines
- Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding any delays or issues that may arise during deliveries
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any mechanical issues or damages
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating company vehicles

Experience:
- Previous experience in freight or commercial driving is preferred
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is a plus
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance is beneficial
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate deliveries
- Good communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and colleagues

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Calgary, AB T2E 7C3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Class 4 Licence (preferred)
