The Deloitte Greenhouse team is looking for a Technology Specialist who will oversee the enabling technology and client lab technology support requirements for the Greenhouse Experience Program in our Calgary office.
What will your typical day look like?
The successful candidate will provide technology support, participate in lab design and planning sessions, and curate “Future of” stories in the Discovery Zone (a collection of emerging technology demos and their use-caes) for Greenhouse labs and events. Hence, the role requires strong oral and written communication skills. Fair knowledge in enterprise office technology and genuine interest in emerging technologies are a must. Storytelling and train-the-trainer experience is ideal. Bilingual in English and French is a bonus. Some physical activities such as setting up, relocating, dismantling IT hardware will be required. Onsite work and some travel expected.
In summary, this is an exciting opportunity and position that will allow the incumbent to connect with and learn from many professionals and SMEs within the firm from various different service lines and senior level business executives on many different most-pressing topics while working on the latest and greatest technology products and solutions.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Provide technology support and collaborate on Greenhouse lab design and planning
• Curate emerging technology demos and use-cases in the Discovery Zone
• Ensure Greenhouse enabling technologies (PCs, touchscreens, networks, iPads, collaboration software) are client-ready and compliant
• Produce and deliver Virtual and Hybrid labs in Zoom, MS Teams, and SpotMe
• Provide end-user support/training on Greenhouse enabling technologies
• Manage local Greenhouse technology assets
• Test and onboard new technology assets (both hardware and software)

Enough about us, let’s talk about you
• Post-secondary education in an IT discipline or equivalent
• Some experience in providing hardware/software support in a Windows environment (especially Windows 10), with advanced knowledge of supporting Microsoft Office 365 and comfort to learn and support emerging collaboration tools
• Basic understanding of network structure and systems configuration
• Enthusiastic about emerging technologies and interest in researching leading edge concepts / technologies
• Capable of working with teams in varying disciplines and conveying technology needs and constraints
• Comfortable presenting to clients, in front of large groups and senior executives
• Flexible schedule with the ability to meet demanding client time requirements
• Required to work onsite frequently and some travel may be required
• Programming knowledge is an asset
• Knowledge of AV hardware (Crestron, Interactive Screens, Teams Room Systems, etc.) is an asset
• Familiarity with online collaboration tools such as Klaxoon, Miro, and Qualtrics is an asset
• Familiarity with analytics visualization software such as Tableau and Power BI is an asset
• Hybrid model: 60% in-office; 40% virtual
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $96,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
