TELUS Animal Agriculture Unit is North America's premier feedlot consulting service. We work with feedlots and calf grower operations to determine ways to optimize production efficiency and overall animal health. We support our clients through consultation with our industry professionals and the use of our proprietary software systems.

Here's the impact you will make and what we will accomplish together

As a Technology Specialist, you will provide training to feedlot clients to ensure they comprehend and maximize their benefit from the TELUS Animal Agriculture Proprietary Software. You will respond to TELUS Animal Agriculture Proprietary Software related questions from feedlot clients by fax, telephone, or email. In addition, you will assist with developing and maintaining the user manuals for TELUS Animal Agriculture Proprietary Software. You will be a passionate problem solver with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

What you'll do:

• Develop a clear understanding of the TELUS Animal Agriculture Proprietary Software, its features and uses
• Deliver training to feedlot clients on the use of TELUS Animal Agriculture Proprietary Software
• Diagnose both hardware and software related issues problems from feedlot clients, and provide support for a wide range of applications
• Develop and maintain clear technical guides and training documentation for both internal and external use
• Assist with the development of the TELUS Animal Agriculture Proprietary Software user manuals
• Where required, travel to client sites to provide hand-on technical support for hardware and software related issues, as well as deliver in-person training of TELUS Animal Agriculture Proprietary Software solutions.

What you bring:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing similar IT support
• Experience working in beef operations (preferably feedlot) is strongly preferred
• Methodical and efficient problem analysis and resolution skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Self-motivated, ambitious and a dedicated team player
• Flexibility and the ability to travel to client sites
• In-depth knowledge of a wide range of software and hardware products
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience supporting enterprise level software applications is considered an asset
• Must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license
