  • 24-hour pad health monitoring and troubleshooting reducing complexity and downtime
  • Remote completion capabilities with a singular shared timestamp
  • Real-time LayerZERO to Edge Server across all frac operation services including in-between interoperable capture (Well Swap, Switches, Zipper, etc.) for critical path evaluation

Cold Bore delivers on the desire for Industry Standardized “clean” data foundation for completions’ technology and execution. Offering best practices of industry standardized format and enabling frac operations to be both Effective AND Efficient, not solely focused on NPT and avoiding extra costs, but more so the combined effectiveness with the results leading to better production, as well as efficiency.

Role Description:

Cold Bore Technology is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the payroll systems run smoothly and employees are paid accurately and on time, managing all regulatory and legislative compliance procedures correctly, communicate and resolve any payroll-related issues with employees, and support AP and AR processing as needed. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and ensure accurate processing of the semi-monthly payroll cycle for both Canada and the US.
  • Review field employee timesheets and confirm accuracy for payroll, while ensuring approval processes are followed and that there is consistent and effective communication with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide reports of company earnings, taxes, deductions, non-taxable wages, and other payroll-related reports as needed.
  • Prepare year-end employee tax slips and forms, and submitting the required government filings to meet deadlines for both Canada and the USA.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to legal and ethical standards.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure benefits and payroll services are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Monitor and analyze expenses against the payroll budget to help prepare cost forecasts and budgets.
  • Ensure the payroll database is set up and reflect the current employee base, including salaries, timesheets, benefits, retirement contributions, and other forms of compensation.
  • Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure timely processing to meet deadlines and manage vendors, and other duties as required.
  • Be the primary contact for all payroll-related inquiries.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in payroll administration, or similar role.
  • Experience managing and processing both Canada and USA payroll.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now (Canada) and ADP Run (USA), or similar payroll processing systems.
  • Experience in AP & AR is considered an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of finances including accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extremely high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks at one time and effectively multi-task.
  • Thorough research and problem-solving skills.
  • Meet strict deadlines while maintaining compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Capable of providing a balanced and common-sense approach to routine and complex issues.
  • Ability to effectively work while under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
