Micro Scooters are the #1 kick scooter worldwide. As the Spring '24 Digital Marketing Intern, you'll be responsible for helping to grow the brand online in Canada against our company's mission to encourage healthy, active play in kids and adults.
Our Marketing Intern should be an aspiring professional who assists in strategic branding, advertising and promotional efforts. You'll be responsible for building social media campaigns, content creation, customer newsletters, and publishing blog content optimized for SEO. You may also be called up on produce presentations on campaign performance, present new strategic ideas to grow the business, or how to position certain products.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative and hard working to help achieve our goals. You'll collaborate directly with the General Manager and Business Owner to bring insightful contribution that will help develop, expand and maintain our marketing channels.
This internship will help you acquire strategy, marketing and operational skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and should be prepared to enter any fast paced work environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage social media channels, including content creation and performance measurement using quantitative and qualitative data
- Perform market analysis and research on competition, and provide suggestions for how to position and remain true to the Micro Brand
- Identify on-brand influencers and communicate directly with them. You will own our influencer strategy and execution
- Own marketing and advertising promotional activities, such as social media posts, customer email marketing, blog posts
- Other: prepare promotional presentations and pitch decks, distribute marketing materials, organize marketing events
Requirements
- Professional drive and a strong desire to learn
- Current enrolment or recent degree in Marketing, Business or related field
- Familiarity with navigating social media advertising platforms across Meta, Google and Pinterest
- Solid understanding of digital design using tools such as Photoshop, Figma and Canva
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Google Suite
- Familiarity with AI and how it may be applied to marketing to supercharge performance
