Purpose
In this role, the Director Development, Group Treasury Technology will be accountable for:
- End-to-end technology ownership of the channels in the portfolio, from the definition and intake of business requirements, analysis, estimations, design, development, testing,
- Implementation of the technology solutions in production,
- Ongoing support and maintenance.
- The incumbent will collaborate with multiple stakeholders in the definition and refinement of technology and product strategies,
- Lead the team in the full lifecycle leading to their implementation.
- Lead the efforts of "transformation through modernization and applying leading practices in software engineering.
- The incumbent will also lead the team in all key technology areas including but not limited to: Service Reliability, Engineering, Modernization and Global Products.
- We are looking for someone who has experience modernizing technology stacks and proven record of building high performing teams.
Accountabilities
- Plan and direct application/technology projects and provide ongoing support.
Education and Experience
- Manage technical teams and professionals in the areas of technical directions and standard practices.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with peers/management within the business lines as well as other technology and architecture teams.
- Develop departmental capability to leverage technology and develop expertise to meet business requirements.
- Participate in strategy planning and manage policy development to address complex business problems.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and system maintenance arrangements.
- Manage budgeting processes and quality improvement activities for your department.
- Set performance expectations, monitor performance, provide performance feedback, coaching and development, plus recruitment of qualified staff and succession planning for your team.
- 10 to 15 years of IT and business/industry work experience
- Strong system engineering and development experience with hands-on experience in different technologies
- Strong business knowledge and experience in capturing business and product requirements and translating that into technology solutions that provide value to customers.
- Process knowledge and experience in scheduling, resource allocation, risk management and systems design
- Experienced in project management of highly complex technology projects.
- Experienced in vendor management, including contract negotiations, and outsourcing.
- Proven relationship management, interpersonal, leadership and coaching skills and experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other related field and equivalent work experience
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Execution & deliverable focused
- Ability to take ownership and accountability to execute and deliver on goals, strong commitment to high quality standards.
- Strong work ethic, self-starter who is creative with a can-do attitude.
- Quick learner with strong attention to detail
- Ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously and independently, while maintaining a high degree of communication and escalation at appropriate junctures
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting-style, unstructured environment
- Excellent quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills
- Professional maturity, personal integrity, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent relationship building and management skills.
- High-level of proficiency in MS-Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio).
