We are a team of game designers, artists, developers, product managers, and more building a portfolio of apps, including the popular preschool app World of Peppa Pig. Join our studio as Director of Production & Business Operations to lead the delivery of live-service mobile apps for kids! Reporting to the Studio Head of Find Your Fun, you will drive a new IP from concept to launch and grow the successful World of Peppa app! Bring a heart for nurturing people and developing culture, a head for financial planning and Business Operations, and a career of creating and operating Games as a Service software products.
What You'll Do:
-Deliver Products: Ensure products meet milestones and budgets from concept to launch, manage scope, schedule processes, tools, and resources.
-Manage Finances: Coordinate budgets, forecasts, and financial planning; collaborating closely with the Studio Head on P/L management.
-Optimize Operations: Streamline production processes, people, and workflows for increased velocity and quality.
-Direct Partner Reporting Lines: Lead IT operations, HR, and production delivery leads.
-Manage Vendors and Contracts: Oversee vendor, legal, and 3rd party contract management and negotiation.
-Mitigate Risk: Be accountable for dependency management and risk management.
-Lead Growth: Support hiring, managing, and nurturing a diverse group of passionate gaming professionals with a focus on developing leaders and growing careers.
-Mentor Teams: Foster excellence and continuous improvement in production teams.
-Create Culture: Build a culture that fosters positive relationships with internal teams and external partners for shared success.
-Set Bar for Excellence: Ensure excellence in studio, product, and operations tools and workflows.
What You'll Bring
-Production Expertise: Deep toolkit in production methodology, technical proficiency, and adaptability.
-Experience: Games production, preferably mobile, with a mix of managerial and operational roles.
-Financial Knowledge: Exceptional financial management skills with experience navigating Canadian Tax Credits
-Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills, able to navigate complexity with persistence and focus on goals.
-Passion for Gaming: Excitement and passion for the gaming industry, with a test-and-learn approach.
-People Skills: Experience managing and nurturing a diverse spectrum of game professionals.
