Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lessons for children
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child
- Monitor and assess children's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning experience
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress
- Utilize computerized systems for record keeping and communication
Qualifications:
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, and Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Must be up to date on all required immunizations and TB.
- Previous experience working in a childcare setting or with young children
- Preferably have an Early Childhood Assistant Certificate
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents/guardians, and staff members
- Proficient in computer operation for record keeping and communication purposes
- Available to work from Monday to Friday between 7AM-6PM
- Preferably speak French or Mandarin.
- Preferably have a food handler certificate
