Under the supervision of the Regional Director of Long Term Care Operations, the Environmental Services Lead will be responsible for coordinating seamless and efficient delivery of all Environmental Services and ensuring that standards set by the organization are achieved. They will provide and maintain effective management of the service and its staff which will involve the daily supervision and performance management of all Environmental Services Managers and ensuring the completion of day-to-day operations. They will also support the Regional Director of Long Term Care Operations in the strategic planning and development of policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity which may also include experience and demonstrated leadership in the healthcare field/setting or a relevant field/setting in accordance with the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021, Ontario Regulation ss 246/22 ss. 98(2).
- A post-secondary degree or diploma is preferred;
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and prevailing practices relating to housekeeping, laundry and maintenance as applicable; and
- 5 years of maintenance related work experience preferred.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives.
- Able to interpret and implement applicable laws and regulations.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Must be familiar with cleaning products.
- Strong customer service orientation and skills.
- Basic mathematical skills required.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects.
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
- High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion
- Working knowledge of the Health and Safety Act, Fire Protection & Prevention Act.
