Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and creative individual to join our team as an Event Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you will primarily focus on coordinating weddings and corporate events on the day event only. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where your creativity and attention to detail will be highly valued.

Working with the LEG Team, you will manage exceptional events from conception through to completion for the day. You will provide outstanding customer service and organize impactful events that meet Leigh Event Group’s unique quality expectations.

Requirements:

  • Proven event management and production experience of a minimum of 3 years
  • Eye for design with some artistic capabilities
  • Impressive portfolio of previously managed events
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in either Event Management

· Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

· Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules and workload demands.

  • The ability to trouble shoot and think quick on your feet.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License and reliable access to a vehicle
  • Must have experience reading floor plans and timelines
  • Must be able to lift 20bs on average.
  • Must be available to travel internationally with a valid passport.
  • Must be able to work in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Propose ideas to improve provided services and overall event management quality
  • Organize facilities and manage all event’s details such as audio visual, decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material, print & signage, staffing, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations for events.
  • Specify all production and onsite staff requirements and coordinate their activities
  • Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day
  • Responsible for pre-event set up days.
  • Attend pre-and post LEG Team event meetings.
