Job Purpose:
The Event Server is a key member of the Special Events Team. Event Servers are responsible for accommodating all guests at the function and anticipating the needs of our guests and responding politely to their requests. The Event Server assists guests by taking their orders, refilling water glasses, offering coffee/tea, refilling wine glasses, serving their meals and clearing everything in a timely manner. They work closely with all the other Events Staff to other to ensure the efficient operation of the event, and to provide an extraordinary guest experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up event/ wedding space as per instructions of the Event Manager and event order details.
- Make sure that tables are set with all appropriate linen, dishware and flatware
- Greet guests in a cordial manner as they arrive & direct them appropriately as required
- Offer welcome drinks and tray serve hors d’oeuvres
- Cordially take guests’ orders, noting any special requests or dietary restrictions
- Deliver courses to the tables, accurately presenting guests with their selections
- Anticipate guests’ needs continually and fulfill them appropriately
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency while remaining poised during peak periods and seek out additional tasks during slower periods
- Efficiently maintain and clean the event space- stripping linens and napkins and taking down any decorations as instructed
- Reset the event space as directed, ensuring linens are clean and properly placed
- Exhibit a positive optimism and upbeat personality toward guests and fellow team members
