Job Description

The Event Services Attendant is the core of the Events and Catering Department. The role of the Event Services Attendant is to ensure that all Events are set up, executed, and torn down in a safe and timely manner. Our team strives to create a memorable guest, client and colleague experience.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Report to the Event Operations Manager and Assistant Event Operations Manager
  • Review all event orders to ensure all details of the event are executed correctly
  • Monitor all aspects of assigned event duties
  • Ability to complete service at various levels, including but not limited to, formal plated service, buffet service, and reception style service
  • Work with your team to ensure seamless and consistent event service for all guests
  • Setup and tear down of event spaces
  • Ensure all food and beverage areas are setup and served consistently as per company standards
  • Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Respond to and handle guest requests, problems, and concerns
  • Storage organization as required
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Attributes
  • Previous banquet or events experience an asset
  • Flexibility in scheduling (part-time or full-time availability) and be willing to work evenings/late-night, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be flexible with changes and last minute adjustments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with other, or independently
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to lift over 25 lbs
  • Appropriate and professional appearance and presentation
  • Serving It Right certificate for employees 19+

Salary/Wage

16.75-17.50
