What you'll do here:

• Initiate and contribute to improving processes for reporting, budget review, performance analysis and various existing management reports.
• Initiate and contribute to designing and implementing new processes for portfolio monitoring and for measuring and comparing brokerages' performance.
• Review and analyze financial statements and budgets prepared by brokers.
• Monitor and control the accuracy and completeness of data in internal systems processing.
• Performs daily and monthly reconciliation between various systems and databases.
• Act as a resource to coach and train BFS Managers.
• Coordinate and control the administration of a relational database and improve the active controls that are in place to safeguard data integrity.
• Participate in, and assume responsibility for special projects or mandates.

What you bring to the table:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD, in accounting, finance or a related field
• Available to work with us full-time, 35 hours per week, for Summer 2024 Term (May 6 to August 23)
• Must be returning to school in Fall 2024 or Winter 2025 following your internship
• Available to work from the office 2 days a week (and 3 from home)
• Skills in data extraction / manipulation / synthesizing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Can multitask and handle multiple priorities with time-sensitive deadlines
• Customer focus
• Work management and time management skills
• Can work independently or on a team
• Can interact with people at all levels of the company, including senior management and external partners
• Bilingualism is ESSENTIAL (French and English) * Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country
