What You'll Bring
- Minimum 3+ years of professional tax preparation experience using tax preparation software
- Experience preparing a minimum of 125 tax returns per tax season in the last 3 years
- Ability to prepare and support various federal and provincial tax returns for individuals, including different types of income and credits
- Working knowledge of tax laws and concepts, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with Windows and mobile platforms, as well as G-suite applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible availability
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is considered an asset
- Experience preparing Quebec tax returns is considered an asset
- Experience providing support in a contact center environment is considered an asset
- Provide tax guidance for personal tax returns in a remote, seasonal, and customer-facing position
- Collaborate with customers to prepare or review their tax return, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Research and address tax questions, providing answers and guidance to customers
- Offer a Full Service experience by preparing, reviewing, and filing customers' tax returns with the CRA, or assisting customers as they prepare their own return with tax advice and guidance
- Research tax regulations to provide accurate advice on maximizing tax returns for customers
- Create exceptional customer interactions using empathy and your tax knowledge
- Proactively find solutions for customer inquiries using resources and expertise
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer inquiries using company procedures and policies
