What You'll Bring
- Minimum 3+ years of paid professional tax preparation experience, using professional tax preparation software
- Experience preparing a minimum of 125 tax returns per tax season for the last 3 years
- Experience in preparing a variety of federal and provincial returns for individuals, including different types of income such as student, pension, self-employment, rental property, investments, and foreign income
- Knowledge of tax laws and concepts, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with technology, Windows and mobile platforms, as well as G-suite applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible availability/schedule
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French (reading, writing, and speaking) is considered an asset
- Experience preparing Quebec tax returns (TP1) is considered an asset
- Experience working in a contact center environment is considered an asset
- Provide tax guidance and preparation services for personal tax returns in a remote, seasonal, and customer-facing position
- Collaborate with customers to ensure their tax returns are compliant and accurate
- Answer specific tax questions and research and troubleshoot tax issues
- Prepare and file customer returns with the CRA or provide guidance to customers preparing their own returns
- Research tax regulations to provide accurate advice on maximizing customer's tax return
- Create positive customer experiences through empathy, knowledge, and expertise
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to provide the best solutions for each customer
- Follow company procedures to resolve customer inquiries
We offer competitive compensation with a strong pay for performance approach. The expected base pay range for this position is PEI $25.50 - 34.50, BC $25.50 - 34.50, Nova Scotia $25.50 - 34.50.
