- Review and verify the work of hotel Front Desk clerks
- Supervise the activities and coordinate the scheduling of the Front Desk team
- Arrange training and orientation of all new Front Desk team members
- Coordination of Front Desk activities with other departments
- Enter rooming lists in the computer system
- Coordinate handling of all tours and tour policies
- Ensure accurate room counts are kept
- Submit room forecasting and progress reports
- Open and close room availability when necessary
- Effectively handle guest inquiries and complaints
- Learn procedures and functions of hotel Front Desk clerks
- 2+ years experience in a major hotel, one year of supervisory experience an asset
- Able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Most tasks are performed in a team environment with the employee acting as a team leader
- Able to work with minimal direct supervision
- Basic computational ability
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of hotel computer accounting programs, such as Maestro
