The Front Desk Supervisor/Room Auditorposition is an opportunity for that individual looking to begin their hospitality career in the exciting hospitality industry. Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of hotel, front office or property management experience
- Education in Hotel/Hospitality Management preferred or equivalent experience and training accepted
- Experience in housekeeping, food services, customer service or property management an asset
- Superior user capabilities in computer software products including property management software such as Maestro, Time Clock, as well as catering services software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Superior customer service at the core.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information.
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Willing to be able to work evening, weekends, and holidays (shifts vary form 6:00am start - midnight)
- Ability and desire to lead and train your team while maintaining office harmony and high morale.
- Calm and clear-thinking ability to handle problems or crisis in a highly professional manner.
- Clear and thorough communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions thoroughly and work with minimal supervision.
- Accounts receivable or night audit skills an asset
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee Front Desk transactions and guest
- Take guest reservations and provide recommendations of hotel services and within the area
- Oversee day to day management of the lodging portfolio including lodging operations, balancing lodging inventory, and resolving lodging type conflicts and/or oversells, guest requests, preferences and/or needs.
- Lead, direct and inspire front office colleagues.
- Enforces all cash-handling, check and credit processes and policies, correcting guest folios
- Deliver resolution to customer problems, such as discounts, adjustments to bills or complimentary rooms to compensate for any inconvenience.
- Auditing guest rooms prior to check-in
- Act as Manager on Duty for first line of support for services needed by guests. This includes maintaining 24/7 phone coverage to meet or delegate appropriately for any given situation.
- Assure all colleagues remain up to date and familiar with procedures, activities at the Resort, local attractions, current events, and other information in order to provide accurate information.
- Maintain and enforce departmental standard operating procedures, training and maintaining colleague knowledge
