POSITION: Full-Time Pharmacy Assistant

Addresses: 400 Adelaide Street E., Toronto, ON

Pharmacy Hours:

Monday to Friday 10am-6pm

Salary/Rate: $18-$21/hour

HOURS: 40 hours per week

START DATE: Late March 2024

STATUS: Temporary Full-Time (with potential to move to permanent FT with increased hours)

Previous recent pharmacy experience is required. Kroll Pharmacy Software experience is required. A desire to learn compounding is required. Must be comfortable with inputting and processing prescriptions and billing to insurances. Friendly, energetic and able to work well with others.

Position Responsibilities

• Strong command of the English language (required)
• Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills (required)
• Experience with Kroll software (required)
• Recent pharmacy experience (required)
• Compounding experience or interest in compounding (Recommended)
• Familiar with brand and generic drug names (required)
• Very comfortable using pharmacy SIG's (example: BID, TID, PRN, etc.) (required)
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Pharmacist direction, and adhere to all legal requirements, including provincial and federal regulations and bi-laws
• Responsibilities & purpose of this job
• accurately input prescription information, fill and dispense medications, cashing out patients/customers
• Dealing with insurance companies
• Communicating with doctors and other medical staff
• Confidentiality and privacy required at all times.
• Must have an interest in compounding or learning to compound
• Compounding creams, ointments, etc.
• Helping and communicating with patients/customers for their prescription and OTC needs
• Ordering and receiving prescription and OTC stock
• Compliance packaging
• Basic computer skills such as word processing
• Maintenance, organization, and any other pharmacy and pharmacist supportive functions
• Cleaning, and ensuring orderly pharmacy work environment

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
