Golf Course Superintendent

Sawmill Creek Golf Resort & Spa is a semi private Golf Course located just east of Sarnia and less than an hour from London, the Golf Course is a conveniently situated getaway that feels much further thanks to an idyllic location along the shores of Lake Huron. The course is a par-71, links-style design that is challenging enough for avid golfers but still playable for beginners.

Qualifications

• Be fully flexible to workdays, weekends and holidays
• Be able to work in a large team environment
• Quality verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work under pressure with minimal supervision
• Previous experience is an asset
• Possession of a valid G2 Drivers License

Duties Include

• Help train staff on all machinery, including safety procedures.
• Maintain buildings, equipment, and property in a professional manner.
• Regularly and accurately contribute to Superintendent's pesticide and fertilizer management practices stressing IPM.
• Working knowledge of irrigation systems, automated controls, and repairs.
• Daily mowing of Greens, Tees, Fairways and Rough areas using a variety of mechanical equipment
• Daily Golf Course set-up including hole changing, tee blocks and garbage collection
• Bunker grooming with and without mechanical equipment
• Assist with cultural practices such as topdressing, aeration, brushing, dew removal and watering
• Maintain aesthetics of Golf Course through clippings collection, line trimming and cart path trimming and clearing

The Successful Applicant will:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years formal education, or degree or diploma in turf management.
• Is available for work every day at discretionary hours.
• Approach responsibilities in an organized and energetic manner.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 9 months

Salary: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
