Opportunity
Hometown Life Insurance is looking to add a Group Benefits Account Manager to its growing team. The successful candidate is experienced and knowledgeable in the benefits space and looking for an opportunity for personal and professional growth as a part of an expanding company. You will work closely with our Principal Advisor and Directors and be accountable for providing support in preparation for meetings with clients at the company’s discretion. This position requires proven experience in Group Benefits and an established understanding of the overall landscape of this profession.
Responsibilities
· Stay up to date with trends in the Group Benefits space to provide a macro view of the benefits landscape.
· Review and participate in the negotiation with the carrier at renewal time on the client’s behalf.
· Provide technical knowledge and support in meetings with clients at the company’s discretion.
· Build relationships with prospective and current clients.
· Collaborate with other members of the Group Benefits team in making recommendations to clients for any plan designs or changes.
· Respond promptly to communications from the clients and carriers related to potential and current business.
· Development of processes and customized communications/materials for client use.
· Perform duties as assigned with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and dedication to a superior client experience.
Ideal Candidate
· Proven ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client information.
· Superior oral and written communication skills.
· Has experience in Group Benefits underwriting or management.
· Excellent problem-solving skills.
· Aptitude for establishing and developing long-lasting client relationships.
· Strong attention to detail including organization and accuracy of tasks.
· Acts with patience, professionalism, and dedication to the client’s best interests.
Qualifications
· Post secondary degree or diploma in a related field or a combination of relevant education and experience.
· 3 to 5 years’ experience working with Group/Employee Benefits.
· CEBS designation is an asset.
· LLQP (Life Licensing Qualification Program) is a requirement. Candidate must be willing to acquire designation.

Salary: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
