Lead Cashier Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Oversee cashiers and ensure smooth operations at the checkout counter
- Train new cashiers on proper cash handling procedures and customer service skills
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing returns and exchanges
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies need to be replenished
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including counting cash drawers and preparing deposits
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide a positive shopping experience for customers
