-Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Provide safety training to employees on topics such as hazard communication, emergency response, and personal protective equipment
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention
- Maintain safety records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability
- Must have your NCSO - National Construction Safety Officer certification
- Must be Core Certified
- Complete Core Audits
-Organize all files for auditing to ensure a smooth audit
- Complete job site inspections to ensure H&S processes and policies are being followed
-Create, file WSIB claims
- Manage Return to Work Program
-Have weekly Safety meetings with the crews
Skills:
- Training Development: Ability to design and deliver effective safety training programs for employees at all levels
- Strong communication skills, interacting with GC's, crew members, Ministry of Labour, Senior leadership within the company
- Ability to conduct thorough investigations, root cause and corrections
- Ability to travel within the GTA and sometimes Ottawa
