Coper Point Resort is a four-star full-service resort hotel with 181 rooms and Invermere Inn & Suites offers 47 rooms conveniently located within town.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for the successful operation of the housekeeping department for both Copper Point Resort and Invermere Inn & Suites. This position coordinates all resources necessary to ensure a premium standard of presentation and impeccable cleanliness throughout the resort/hotels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish and/or implement operating procedures and standards;
• Plan and coordinate the activities of housekeeping supervisors and their crew;
• Ensure all rooms and suites are cleaned as per standards as soon as they become vacant, and ensure a quick turnaround;
• Coordinate inspection or inspect assigned areas to ensure standards are met;
• Hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating performance;
• Keep accurate count of rooms and suites available for check in;
• Complete financial management tasks, such as setting and adhering to a budget;
• Handle administrative tasks;
• Ensure work scheduling rosters and staffing levels are correct, consistent, and fair, as per the Standard Operating Procedures, and are not exceeded;
• Ensure rooms are checked regularly for repairs or refurbishing, and work with the Maintenance Manager to ensure maintenance is completed;
• Communicate effectively with the Front Office Manager and Front Desk Team to ensure overall guest satisfaction;
• Long Term Forecasting & Projections;
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Ability to manage and prioritize between two properties;
• Ability and desire to evolve with and lead a talented housekeeping team;
• Highly effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;
• Ability to use proper phone and email etiquette;
• A high degree of integrity and accountability, with a demonstrated fair approach to problem solving;
• Ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment; demonstrated ability to meet deadlines;
• Ability to multitask in an energetic environment and solve problems efficiently is imperative;
• Excellent time management skills and a passion for hospitality;
• Have an eye for detail and an appetite for cleanliness;
• Must enjoy shift work and be able to work holidays and weekends as needed;
• Ability to stand and walk around the properties for a full eight-hour day and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Required Training and Experience:

• Minimum 2 years in a housekeeping management or supervisory role of a full-service property;
• Working knowledge of Opera, Microsoft Excel, and Word, are assets.

Required licenses, certificates, and registrations:

• College diploma in the hospitality sector;
• Leadership certification preferred;
• First aid certification preferred.

Salary: $53,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
