The Josie – Autograph collection property is looking for a dynamic Housekeeping Manager to oversee the management of all guest rooms and public areas. With a keen eye for detail, and desire to coach to strive for excellence this person will be supervising the Housekeeping staff, prepare room attendant boards, provide training and guidance to the team, inspect guest rooms to ensure cleanliness is up to our high standards and respond to guest requests, concerns and questions to ensure consistent guest satisfaction
Who We’re Looking For:
- You’re highly flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities
- You’re excellent at identifying and articulating processes and adapt at influencing change
- Deeply understand the needs of facility maintenance and the team and work to ensure proper training, support and guidance at all points of service.
- Can balance the books and ensure product is always on hand for those who need it. Ie. Financial controls, inventory and productivity management
- Are diligent about safety and the use of chemicals and cleaners
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity through all courses of actions.
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and provincial requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping or facility management preferably within hospitality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Looking for flexibility and understand the role requires a varied schedule that may include evenings and weekends
- Keen eye for detail and empowering coaching mentality
- Strong desire to continuously improve and help others improve
