Summary

As the Human Resources Coordinator at Samsic Assistance Canada, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring streamlined HR processes, maintaining compliance with employment standards, and fostering a positive workplace culture. Job Responsibilities

Record Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Legal Compliance:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Provide advice and guidance on HR-related matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Assist in the hiring process for management and admin open positions in the USA and Canada.
  • Handle onboarding, management, and data entry in the Human Resource Information System.
  • Provide support for all functions within the HR cycle.
  • Address user and line manager queries related to onboarding.

Employee Relations:

  • Conduct investigations of internal employee matters within the organization.
  • Support the training of line managers on how to conduct employee-related investigations.
  • Offer regular guidance on performance management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Provide guidance and interpretations regarding HR policies.
  • Provide day-to-day general support to managers/supervisors on employment terms, policies, employee relations, and entitlements.
  • Provide support for all employee recognition events.

Implementation and System Maintenance:

  • Collaborate closely with ADP representatives to ensure a smooth implementation of the system.
  • Take an active role in ongoing maintenance tasks, including regular audits for data accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with ADP representatives to explore possibilities of the system, aiming for streamlined processes.
  • Utilize ADP reporting tools for analytics, regularly assessing and optimizing HR and payroll processes.

HR Programs and Initiatives:

  • Assist managers in promoting and implementing HR programs and initiatives.
  • Create and assess tools that engage employees effectively for their development.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent bilingual communication skills in English and French.
  • Familiarity with Quebec employment standards, Canada Labour Code, and Human Rights.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • General understanding of worker compensation, Occupational Health, and Safety.
  • Knowledge of benefits, compensation, performance management, training, and talent acquisition.
  • Proficiency with ADP is considered an asset.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships at all levels.
  • Initiative-taking, effective prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in conflict resolution.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including spreadsheets, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, mail merge, and macros.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of HR administrative experience required.
