Human Resources Student

Are you currently enrolled in post-secondary education related to Human Resources and interested in getting hands on experience? Do you have exceptional administration, customer service and interpersonal skills with ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality? If so, we want you on our Team!

As the successful candidate, Human Resources Student, you will support with the recruitment and onboarding process, Human Resources filing system, employee inquiries and provide administrative support to the Human Resources team.

You will:

• Assist with the administration of internal and external recruitment processes:
  • Prepare job postings
  • Screen and sort candidates
  • Schedule interviews
  • Prepare interview packages
  • Conduct reference checks
• Assist with onboarding new employees:
  • Prepare employment offers
  • Obtain new hire paperwork
  • Schedule orientation sessions
  • Create posts on internal intranet introducing new employees
• Assist with basic Human Resources administration:
  • Maintain accurate and up to date Human Resources files, records and documentation ensuring accuracy and completeness of confidential personnel files and employee records.
  • Archive physical records in accordance with the classification schedule
  • Prepare correspondence
  • Update forms
  • Create Agendas
  • Take meeting minutes
• Assist with internal Human Resources related inquiries or requests.
• Other duties as assigned.

As the ideal candidate, you will be currently enrolled and returning to an applicable post secondary educational program related to Human Resources and will have:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on high level of customer service.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational, time management and attention to detail
• Advanced skills in MS office.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

This position will commence at the beginning of May 2024 and conclude at the end of August 2024. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. We offer a wage of $20.80 per hour plus 4% vacation pay.
