IBM i Administrator Job Details:
Our valued government client requires aIBM i Administratorto provide operational and project support to the Infrastructure and Operations Team. Primary responsibilities include working with technical and business functional resources to create and support optimal technical solutions and provide technical leadership and support.
Senior Solution/Security ArchitectResponsibilities:
- Managing and maintaining the IBM i operating system and its related components,
- Monitor security and performance on the IBM i operating system,
- Operational support of the IBM i,
- Participation in team and project discussions.
- Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of the IBM i platform are critical to successful performance in this role.
Senior Solution/Security ArchitectMust Have Skills:
- BA/BS degree in related field or technical institute training.
- A minimum of three years working as an IBM i Administrator and understanding of the platform.
Senior Solution/Security ArchitectNice to Have Skills:
- Local Knowledge - understanding the Resource’s experience with Government of Saskatchewan, Crown Corporations, or comparable entities, as it relates to the technical and business landscape. (Describe in detail -this requirement will be heavily weighted.)
- Familiar with the use of Access Client Solutions (ACS).
- Familiar with the use of the Hardware Management Console (HMC).
- Familiar with the use of Backup, Recovery & Media Services (BRMS).
- Familiar with the management of auxiliary storage pools (ASP).
