Immigration Assistant

Job Duties

• Initiate client files through the preparation of retainer agreements, receipt of retainer payments, and execution of conflict of interest checks.
• Gather client information and necessary supporting documentation.
• Complete and assemble application forms along with their supporting documents.
• Conclude and dispatch applications to the relevant authorities and visa offices.
• Compose and forward updates and responses for applications to the visa office as required.
• Preparing and drafting various correspondence and documents.
• Handle incoming calls, emails, and voicemail messages promptly.
• Organize, print, and file documents accurately.
• Efficiently close files and ensure they are kept in an orderly manner.
• Potentially coordinate and manage consultations.
• Undertake additional administrative tasks as needed.
• Conduct research and gather information for projects or reports.

Employment Requirements

• At least two (2) years of administrative or clerical work experience, preferably at a Immigration firm OR law firm.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian immigration polices, immigration programs and process.
• Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively process payments and follow requisite procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently, multi-task and perform well under pressure.
• Completion of college or university, preferably in a related field.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (i.e., Word, Outlook & Excel).
• Cultural sensitivity.
• English language ability.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
