Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients by responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist customers with insurance sales and policy inquiries via phone, email, & walk-in customers in a helpful & professional manner
- Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance products, handling insurance applicaiions, documents, & database file documentation.
- Accurate processing/handling of requested insurance policy changes
- Maintain good working relationships with existing clientele & building new relationships with new clients through excellent customer service
- Handling insurance payments and accurate remittance of payment through various payment methods
- Quoteing new business and providing quotes to existing customers. Ensure customer understands & is informed throughout the sales process
- Strong computer skills & ability to work with various computer applications including but not limited to: Adobe Pro, Microsoft office applications, insurance company portals, company's Broker Management System.
- Maintain current insurance product knowledge, staying up to date with changes, underwriting rules & guidelines, & introduction of new products for various insurance companies
- Maintain 15 annual hours of CE via webinars, online courses & possible in person courses
- Follow up & respond to requested information from insurance companies, maintaining good working relationships with underwriters & insurance company employees
- Opening of claims and guiding customers throughout the claims process in a professional and helpful manner
- Collaborate with team members working in a team atmosphere to successfully communicate & meet the roles & tasks of the team, ensuring clients needs are always met
Skills:
- Applicants with current Insurance Broker Level 1 or 2 license will be given the strongest consideration for the position
- Starting salary will be based on successful applicant, ranging from $37,500+
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to analyze customer requirements and provide successful outcomes for the customer
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Ability to work independantly as well as part of a team.
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to think on your feet & handle a wide variety of customer needs & situations
