We are an independent insurance brokerage offering a broad base of insurance products including home, auto, farm commercial, life, group and critical illness.
We are currently recruiting to find the right person to help us with bookkeeping. We offer flexibility in start and departure times, and scheduling of recurring work days.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Manage accounts receivable, payable, and accounts in trust accounting environment;
- Generate and provide analysis of reports to ensure they are accurate and complete;
- Data entry of cheques and deposits into broker management software, correcting errors as found;
- Conducting reconciliation between bank account and software entries;
- Calculate monthly payments to insurers;
- Calculate and remit RST;
- Use MS Office & broker management software to prepare e-mails, letters and invoices.
You should have:
- 2-4 years’ experience A/P & A/R for small-medium sized company
- Post-secondary education;
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and contribute positively to our team dynamic.
It would be great if you also have:
- Knowledge and experience with broker management software.
