Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager of International Marketing, the incumbent supports and executes strategic integrated marketing communication solutions aligned with the Seneca Polytechnic Strategic Plan. The incumbent is responsible for supporting international enrollment, strengthening Seneca’s global brand presence through trusted partnerships, and collaborating with stakeholders across the institution to enhance international awareness and support quality program enrolment. This role involves expertise in strategic marketing, branding, content creation, communications, research, consultations, writing, editing, and proofreading, with a focus on developing and executing strategic marketing plans. As a collaborative member of the team, the incumbent contributes to building a positive profile for Seneca as an educational leader and demonstrates exceptional customer service while working with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable marketing strategies and achieve objectives.

Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy
- Develops and executes strategic marketing plans in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to enhance international enrolment and partnership initiatives.
- Performs strategic analyses to inform decision-making processes.
- Evaluates, analyzes, and reports on the effectiveness of various marketing plans to achieve goals.
- Ensures alignment of all initiatives with brand strategy.
- Supports the department's mandate for integration and collaboration to effectively promote Seneca to international audiences.
Project & Campaign Management
- Leads client consultations to identify priorities and opportunities and recommends strategies, tactics, and project plans
Supports the planning, development, and implementation of marketing/advertising/ promotional campaigns. - Crafts original marketing and communications copy.
Supports the creation of a creative brief based on the marketing plan, leading to high-quality creative work with strong visuals integrated with compelling copywriting. - Maintains digital marketing expertise, supports a presence on digital platforms for international audiences, and executes campaigns to achieve marketing and enrolment goals.
- Establishes critical dates, deliverables, and specifications for projects.
- Sets the creative tone and enables best practices.
- Supports reviews, monitors work progress, and ensures timely delivery of deliverables.
Client Relationship Management
- Contributes to exceeding expectations by offering solutions-focused recommendations and building strong relationships with stakeholders, enhancing the department's role as a valuable strategic partner and customer service leader.
- Provides professional support to department and client groups to ensure delivery of quality, accuracy, and consistency in Seneca messages in support of the strategic plan.
Research & Reporting
- Conducts research on relevant issues and identifies and recommends emerging challenges and opportunities for Seneca to respond positively.
- Gathers and analyzes campaign analytics and proactively works to optimize performance.
- Integrates measurement into all marketing initiatives to determine ROI and provide evidence of how objectives were achieved.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education
- Minimum four (4) year degree in Marketing, Advertising or Communications. If education is in another field, please state how it is related.
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of marketing experience with recent agency or institutional experience.
Skills
- Proven experience in International Marketing and/or higher education.
- High-level marketing skills with a successful track record in creating impactful marketing/communications/ad campaigns and materials.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities, directing and managing suppliers for timely and cost-effective project completion.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, demonstrating a proven ability to build strong partnerships with clients.
- Demonstrated application of basic principles in professional disciplines such as marketing and communications.
- Proven creative conceptual abilities, collaborating with staff and suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize advertising initiatives.
- Proven track record of managing and completing projects within established budgets and timelines.
