Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of transactions
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Support the senior accountants in various accounting tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems or software
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience as a Junior Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Note: Experience in corporate finance or financial services is a plus.
