Position Summary
*Please note this is a temporary position, covering full-time hours, for up to 18 months*
The Junior FMS Business Analyst is responsible for analysis, development, and documentation of solutions for the administration of the City's Financial Management System. This position plays a fundamental role in the support of a corporate culture of continuous improvement through the review and implementation of effective finance business processes and supporting information technology.
Assist with maintaining the Corporation's Financial Management Systems investment to ensure that corporate needs are being maintained though continual improvement and assessment of current business processes to help identify issues/gaps and recommend feasible solutions.
Assist with implementation and support of new software in alignment with corporate strategies, including system upgrades, new software releases, additional functionality, interfaces, testing and testing approval and third-party systems.
Provide corporate financial system support, including troubleshooting issues and user training.
Responsible for maintaining system documentation, including test plans, training documents, standard operating procedures, status reports, and interfaces.

Qualifications, Competencies
3-year degree or diploma in business or information systems and technology related field.
1 year of practical experience in business systems analysis.
Experience as a project lead/ subject matter expert, an asset.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Management Systems, an asset.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365, an asset.

Ability to apply process improvement methodologies.
Experience using continuous improvement processes such as Lean or Six Sigma methodologies and tools, an asset.

Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Familiar with organizational change management principles.
Strong financial, computer and analytical skills required, advanced expertise in Microsoft Office.
Required to obtain and maintain a satisfactory criminal record check.
