Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team. As a Junior Technician, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems, computer networks and Voice over IP telephones. You will learn to setup and maintain Voice & Data networks. You will learn to work with WiFi & point to point equipment, door access controls and security cameras. You will be answering phone calls and working with clients to solve a variety of technical issues. This is an entry-level position that offers an opportunity to gain valuable technical experience in the above mentioned technical fields. On the job training will be provided to the correct applicant. Competency in English is a must, any experience working with Mikrotik, Unifi, Yealink & Grandstream devices is definitely an asset.
Duties:
- Answer the phone and create support tickets.
- Work on a computer entering making changes to existing systems.
- Assist senior technicians in the installation and maintenance of low voltage cabling systems.
- Troubleshoot computer networking equipment, telephones and optical fiber networks.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues on voice and computer networks.
- Follow schematics and technical manuals to perform tasks accurately.
- Assist with the setup and configuration of voice over IP systems and peripherals.
- Perform basic mechanical tasks, such as assembling and disassembling equipment.
- Utilize hand tools to complete assigned tasks.
Experience:
- Proficient in use of a windows based computer.
- Basic knowledge of low voltage systems and computer networking.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware components and their functions.
- Ability to maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Mechanical knowledge for handling equipment assembly and disassembly.
- Proficiency in using hand tools.
