Description

IronOak Games is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Junior Programmer to join our team in Vancouver. This is a full-time role for an up and coming programmer with beginning experience in the video game industry. Working alongside the programming team, you will produce quality code that helps realize the vision of the Game Design team. You will contribute to the ongoing game development on our current title For The King II, as well as all related content outlined on our multi-year roadmap.

Responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring tasks are fully realized and are implemented efficiently and optimized
• Collaborating with all departments to help resolve technical issues, or outline possible solutions that may arise
• Responding to the technical needs of all departments
• Take part in the development of new game features and help support the game
• Taking part in code reviews and pipeline tasks
• Work alongside QA to debug and triage any potential issues

What we are looking for:

• 2+ years programming experience in the video game industry
• Strong C# skills and Unity programming experience
• Experience in working alongside and improving upon an existing code base
• Ability to work as part of a team and good interpersonal and communication skills
• A level of autonomy, curiosity and resourcefulness that allow you to be comfortable in seeking out answers

Helpful Skills

• Familiar with For the King and For The King II
• Good analytical and synthesis skills and attention to details
• Good understanding of RPGs or D&D

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
