Junior Technician

Job Title: JUNIOR TECHNICIAN

Note:Must be an adult (18+), and either a Canadian citizen (or a permanent resident with a work permit) and a resident of Edson, AB or at least Yellowhead County.

Job Description:

We're seeking a Junior Technician to join our growing business. We are the only full-service tech support & repair shop in Yellowhead County, and we are looking for an individual that can handle hands-on work at our business location, which is open Monday to Friday 11am to 7pm (shifts may land between 11am and 8pm).

Duties may include:

• replacing smartphone screens & batteries
• replacing laptop & desktop PC components
• diagnosing hardware & software issues
• assisting technicians
• light-duty cleaning
• shipment receiving
• customer intake
• customer communication
• research & estimation
• running errands
• counting cash & making change
• handling customer property
• cutting & crushing cardboard
• device cleaning
• organizing/labelling inventory
• working with networks or cameras
• sales

Required skills:

• beginner English language experience
• basic mathematics skills
• ability to learn quickly
• average or better memory
• experience fixing things
• experience with hardware
• technical knowledge in any area

Offering hourly wage of between $20 to $25 per hour depending on experience.

Primarily interested in applicants with some kind of technical knowledge or skill.

Ideal applicants will have already repaired computers or other devices on a professional level, and will have reliable transportation.
