Duties:
- Carry out spectroscopy procedures in accordance with documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or recognized standard reference methods. Instrumentation may include C/S Analyzer.
- Help perform general laboratory tasks including, but not limited to: finding samples, transferring solutions, and solutions disposal.
- Maintain the cleanliness of department workstations and equipment.
- Neutralize laboratory waste and dispose of waste in accordance with the local waste disposal regulations.
- Inform the spectroscopy manager of any unsafe conditions within the department.
- Maintain up-to-date logs of relevant documentation.
- Verify and record calibration of equipment as needed.
- Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire, and PPE as required.
- Ensure proper functioning of the laboratory by:
Ensuring adequate inventory of laboratory consumable supplies and chemicals.
Practicing good housekeeping.
- Communicate general laboratory issues to spectroscopy manager as appropriate.
- Some lifting is required, up to 50lbs.
- Perform other duties as required by management.
Requirements:
- High school grad or equivalent
- up to 3 years lab experience
- Attention to detail and able to follow complicated instructions carefully
- Able to work in both a team and in an individual capacity
- Organized, able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
