WARDS LAWYERS PC is a progressive, mid-size law firm located in the heart of the City of Kawartha Lakes. We have an opportunity for a dynamic, passionate, and driven Family Law Clerk at our Lindsay office.
Roles and Responsibilities:
We are looking for a motivated Law Clerk eager to join a fast paced and busy law firm in Lindsay, Ontario, focusing primarily in the area of Family Law, serving the Lindsay, Peterborough and surrounding area.
We offer one of the largest and most accomplished litigation and dispute resolution teams in the area. We act for clients in virtually every kind of dispute, including:
· Family Law litigation (custody, access, property, support, special claims)
· collaborative Family Law
· domestic contracts
· Family Law mediation/arbitration
Qualifications and Skills:
This opportunity is most suited for Law Clerks with 2 to 3 years of experience that want to gain valuable experience and continue to develop their expertise, while maintaining a work-life balance only available in the City of Kawartha Lakes.
Members of our team must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized with a high attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Experience using DivorceMate software is required. Experience using document management software is an asset.
Location:
This is an in-person position at our Lindsay, Ontario office. Hybrid work options are available upon the completion of 3 months of employment.
Compensation:
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and/or ability. Group benefits and retirement savings plans are available.
